Update #237

Here’s a bit from Heinrich Hertz’s wikipedia entry that I have taken an interest in:

Hertz did not realize the practical importance of his experiments. He stated that,
It’s of no use whatsoever[…] this is just an experiment that proves Maestro Maxwell was right - we just have these mysterious electromagnetic waves that we cannot see with the naked eye. But they are there.[3]
Asked about the ramifications of his discoveries, Hertz replied,
Nothing, I guess.” [3]

I’m throwing around ideas for an upcoming Miskatonic story with Dav.  Heinrich Hertz is soon to be a part of the Miskatonic world.  More to come.  I have an episode of Twin Peaks to watch and some things to doodle before I get the next script going.

Some mid-19th century slang that I fully intend to use

ballum rancum: a ball where all the dancers are thieves and prostitutes.

fidlam bens: thieves who have no particular lay; fellows that will steal anything they can remove

ganders:  married man not living at home with his wife

nimenog: a very silly fellow

laced mutton: a common woman

queen dick: never; it never happened
